February is the month of Love and you all know what that means……Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and it’s time to spread a little love to those that mean the most to us!  The creative in me just loves to come up with fun new ideas for my kids to pass out to their classmates, BUT this “stretched too thin” mom often dreads finding the time to do it.  For all of you busy parents out there, it can be so time consuming putting together Valentines, from gathering all of your supplies to coming up with cute idea after cute idea it can be pretty daunting and time consuming.  After all, most of us are making about 20 of these things per kid and if you are anything like me I usually wait until the last minute and stay up late the night before doing it!  BUT not this year, I’ve got you all covered!  See below for some fun Valentine ideas for kiddos of all ages!

This Valentine’s I’ve partnered with my friends at Minted, my favorite one-stop shop for all things stationary.  From Christmas cards, to birthday invites, to one of a kind printed art pieces,  Minted has my favorite selection of quality products for those special occasions in your life.  This year, I turned to Minted to help get my creative juices flowing.  I decided to let each of my daughters pick out her favorite design on their website and then with a little help from mom I took their theme and ran with it.  If you know my girls you know they are all VERY different, but it was important to me that each card suited each girls personality.  So below, I give you 3 extremely unique and personal Valentine’s representing each of my three girls!

Top 3 Fun Valentine Ideas for Kids!

Valentine Ideas for Kids: Pugs & Kisses

  1. This adorable set came with the cutest little pug cards.  I added a cute backer design to this card as well as personalized stickers to seal off each envelope.
  2. My VERY FAVORITE local bakery in town Triple Crown Bakery located in Franklin, helped me out by creating the most charming little pug and dog bone cookies.  This bakery is one of Nashville’s hidden little gems, they have the tastiest treats and the staff is just about friendlier than your grandma!
  3. I went to Michaels and grabbed a few clear plastic treat bags to put the cookies in, some teal and paw print ribbon to tie the bag off, and miniature teal close pins to fasten each Valentine to the outside of the bags.

Valentine Ideas for Kids: I Like The Way You Roll

  1. Livi loooooves sushi so this design was the perfect choice.  Again, I added a cute backer and stickers to give these cards the perfect finishing touch.
  2. For this Valentine you will need Chinese takeout boxes (I chose brown and white for a little variety), colored twine, recycled shredded paper (all found at Michaels), and the cutest little sushi erasers (I purchased mine from eBay).
  3. Tie some twine around each box, fill it with the recycled paper and top with 2 erasers, close shut, then punch a hole in each Valentine and envelope and tie it on to the top of the metal handle on the box.

Valentine Ideas for Kids: You Are A “CEREAL-OUSLY” Great Friend

  1. Rivleigh is my kid who takes entire boxes of cereal with her wherever she goes….No milk needed!   This girl just loves cereal so this Valentine spoke right to her heart!
  2. I added the cutest tic-tac-toe backer for DOUBLE THE FUN.
  3. You will need several clear plastic tubes I found mine on ETSY.  Fill each one with your favorite cereal, we chose Fruit Loops and Lucky Charms.
  4. Next tie a wooden spoon to the tube with some colorful twine.  Each spoon was stamped with “Lucky You” or “Loopy For You” to really add to the theme (these came from the same Etsy shop as the tubes).
  5. Next put everything in a clear plastic bag (I found a really cute design with a pink heart on it from Target) with the cereal tubes/spoons, you can tie your Valentine to the outside or drop it in the bag and tie off with some cute ribbon.

And there you have it!  Three VERY different, but VERY unique Valentine ideas for Kids.  I hope you like them, I’d love to hear about your fun ideas, please be sure to send them my way!  Sending you all hugs and kisses this February 14th!!!  Xo
